Star Wars 1313 will be the new Lucasarts game

The next game in the franchise will be called prolific Star Wars 1313.

The game was described by Paul Meegan, president of LucasArts as a "cinematic action adventure in  third person" where players must step into the shoes of an anonymous bounty hunter and explore the depths of Coruscant underworld known as level 1313 , which is what gives the name of the game.

Meegan said

     "We are excited to share one of the projects that Lucasarts was working hard. Star Wars 1313 dives into some of the myths of Star Wars that we always knew existed but never had chance to visit. We are committed to providing the best experience of gameplay and visual fidelity to reality, and I really believe that the work will be showing at E3 will speak for itself."

The story takes us to the dangerous lower levels of Coruscant, where the world's most dangerous villains dominate and take the role of a bounty hunter that will possess an arsenal of "exotic" weapons to hunt their victims and reveal the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy. The game will focus on combat and fast action as well as the use of technology and equipment rather than the supernatural powers of the Force typical games like Force Unleashed, or Jedi Knight.

No images were revealed than the one illustrating this note, but given the announced features we can foresee a game that will point to the real fans of Star Wars more than children and housewives who had fun with SW Kinect. Hopefully the force be with this game for the good of us.
