Canadian authorities after a Counter-Strike: GO map


If you thought the action of creating a simple map for Counter-Strike was as dangerous as going to the supermarket, think again. Canadiendes authorities, exactly Transportation Society of Montreal, is preparing to sue several modder for creating, without permission, a map for Counter Strike: Global Offensive set in a Montreal subway station.



Le Journal de Montreal newspaper that has been able to talk to the modders who created the controversial map for the game, collect part of the absurdity in which the issue has become. Liatis Diego, Frédéric Denis and his friends are preparing for a tournament of Counter Strike: Global Offensive and it will take place in March at the beautiful city of Montreal. The boys have decided to pay tribute to their city by creating a simple map set in the station Berri-UQAM metro Montreal, owned by the demanding Societe of Transport.

As good guys, initially sought permission from the Society of Transportation to recreate a map for the game said, surprised at the negative response... and like art escapes the authorities they decided to go ahead with the project. Not yet released the map, it will in March in that tournament, but the Transport Company has threatened them that if they publish this map they will sue them and ask $ 50,000.

Modders themselves, along with the nonsense, have declared that the Transport Company quoted are afraid that the map would cause chaos among users of the metro network in the city, and that this map would help to know terrorists how the facilities are. Liatis Diego replied that if a terrorist wanted to know how these facilities looks "they should only have to buy a metro ticket."

So beware, do not even think to recreate the map of your favorite supermarket, you could be helping the terrorists going to do the weekly shopping.
